MSOC l Mustang Family Member Wins National Championship

It's with a great deal of pride and an immense amount of satisfaction, Mustang Soccer can announce that Alex Jakma is the first player to come out of our stable and go on to win a National Championship
.. With Alex completing the accomplishment during the month of November, as a member of the Humber Varsity squad.

Alex Jakma and Humber Varsity came away from Ontario Colleges Athletic Association Championships with a gold medal two weeks earlier, after defeating Mohawk 6 -1 in the quarterfinal; George Brown 4 - 0 in the semifinal and Algonquin 4 - 0 in the gold medal game.

Moving through CCAA - ACSC Championships, the story was more of the same.

Humber Hawks defeated SAIT Trojans 3 - 0 in the quarterfinal; Algonquin Thunder (OCAA) 8 - 0 in the semifinal and host Keyano Huskies 2 - 0 in the championship game.

In what is a great accomplishment for both squad and players, we couldn't be happier, more excited for and prouder of Alex!

A special mention must also go out to friend of the Mustang Soccer program, and assistant coach on the Humber Hawks staff, Jason Mesa..

Congratulations to everyone involved in this tremendous achievement!
