Mustang Soccer Announces New Skillz Academy Manager

Milton, ON – Mustang Soccer Inc (MSI) is pleased to announce John Botelho as their new Manager of Mustang Skillz Academy effective May 1st, 2017.

“We’re extremely happy, to be able to bring someone of John’s calibre, into the Mustang Soccer family in this capacity,” stated Omar Jbaihi, Technical Director of MSI.  “John brings with him a wonderful reputation, and is widely respected within the soccer community.  His ability to teach and make young players feel at ease, along with the way he encourages their creativity as they both discover and explore the game, has led to many technically superb young players graduating from his programs in the past.  I believe he will be the perfect fit, to lead the Mustang Skillz Academy program”

John has earned his USSF B license, as well as also holding his USSF Youth license and NSCAA Advanced National diploma.  In 2007, John founded BST Academy.  BST was designed to create a player centred environment, where players could develop at higher level.  At BST, John was able to work with some great players, some of whom moved on to TFC.  He has also successfully worked with seven players from the Canadian Men’s U17 national team program, as well as two players who went on to play for our Men’s U20 national team program.

“This is a wonderful opportunity to work with Omar and his staff, that share the same vision and philosophy needed, to be able to guide players to fulfilling their potential”, said Botelho.  “Knowing Omar for as long as I have, understanding his beliefs and philosophy around a player centered development process, this was a very easy decision for me”
